Intro & Challenge

Kia is the longest running major partner of the Australian Open. For the 2023 edition of the AO, Kia Austria wanted to:

  • Elevate fan engagement in newexciting ways
  • Reach the younger Austrian tennis fanbase

Solution

We designed and developed the Kia Kosmos, a virtual world within the Metaverse housing various areas:

  • Digital tennis court with an enormous screen
  • Kia showroom featuring the latest models
  • Interview space for media partner LAOLA1
  • Game area with great prizes
  • Live triggered MO:ME:NT NFTs of the tournament

Results

  • 1,000+ unique users engaged with the Kia Kosmos
  • 18,430 minutes spent by fans in the Kia Kosmos
  • 350+ likes or cheeers for the MO:ME:NT NFTs
  • Media attention and great PR exposure
  • Campaign selected for multiple industry awards
